July 17th - 18th, 2022 - The 1st International Electric Aviation Innovative Technology Summit is successfully held in Liyang, Jiangsu province. Relying on the “Research on Electric Aviation Development Strategy” consulting project of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the industry experts, scholars, policymakers and investors carry out in-depth communication and discussion in the summit focusing on three topics, which are development and planning of electric aviation industry, the analysis of electric aviation business operations, and the key materials and technologies of electric aircraft. They have one goal to strengthen cooperation and build the innovation and industrial chain of electric aviation in China.

Dr. Johnson Wang is invited to attend the summit and shared a report on “Aircraft Functionality Safety & Certification Considerations for eVTOL” with many eVTOL manufacturers, airworthiness authorities, universities and battery manufacturing companies, accompanied by four engineers which respectively come from AVIONIC SUITE team, CERT team and Capability Building team.

Starting from the aircraft-level safety mitigation measures and effects of eVTOL, AVIAGE SYSTEMS has sorted out the aircraft-level functions, failure states and severity levels of typical multi-rotor eVTOL configurations, while a systematic safety approach for civil aircraft is used in the first time to analyze the failure states and severity levels of aircraft batteries.
