
Brief Description:
- You will support our cockpit display-related projects, including AAM OEMs projects and new product development. You will lead the display function requirements elicitation and HMI design with potential customers, be responsible for the execution of display applications development, and deliver innovative and certifiable display products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the cockpit display functions (display, monitoring, warning, etc.) development tasks according to the OEMs/product requirements.
- Distribute system-level requirements to software and hardware teams.
- Be responsible for the detailed specifications of display functions.
- Define innovative and certifiable display solutions and products.
- Establish multiple levels of requirements for display products.
- Lead the development of cockpit display capabilities within the Avionova team and improve the TRL (Technology Readiness Level) of AAM display products.
- Lead cockpit display HMI design with potential customers.
- Be responsible for the display LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) level specification and support the supplier selection process.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering/Sciences, Mathematics, or other related engineering and science fields from an accredited institution.
- At least 8 years of experience developing avionics systems, with at least 6 years in aviation display cockpit domains.
- Strong cockpit display domain knowledge and regulatory/standards awareness, including ARINC 661.
- Proficient in display product development tools such as VAPS, SCADE, etc.
- Strong HMI design background to provide innovative approaches to cockpit design and guide potential customers.
- Extensive knowledge of requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements management, systems integration, verification, and certification.
- Knowledge of various aircraft or avionics systems, including safety-critical and/or utility systems within a FAR/CS Part 25 aircraft.
- Proficiency in ARP4754, DO-254, and DO-178 standards and compliance.
- Knowledge of environmental standards such as DO-160.
- Knowledge of safety analysis and assessment methods and constraints at the system and aircraft level.
- Ability to take an innovative idea from concept to product.
Qualifications Desired:
- Knowledge of various aircraft or avionics systems within a FAR/CS Part 23, 27, or 29 aircraft.Extensive background in aerospace electronics/avionics engineering and development qualification, including ARINC661, DO-178, DO-254, and DO-160 standards.Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with engineering tools and systems.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and influence others.Results-driven, with the ability to work under pressure.Ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment.Proven record of successful project execution.
