Brief Description:

• The EIR operates in lot of uncertainty at a fast pace. He/she works with internal cross-functional teams across levels of seniority, helping take ideas from genesis to launch till deliver and beyond. He/she helps bring “the outside in” mindset into the process of launching a viable small business.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Strategic Marketing to understand key business drivers, challenges, and future opportunities;
• Work with Marketing and Product Management to solidify business plan for the assigned new business launch area;
• Work with Business Development / Sales teams to convince potential customers about the value proposition of, source concept of operations and use cases of, the new product;
• Work as engineer to build and iterate early experiments of new products and business models. Then complete the product design and verification along with customer expectations and support product application for customers;
• Responsible for the design and development of satellite navigation algorithm, such as PVT, RAIM (Receiver autonomous integrity monitoring) or other related algorithms for GNSS receivers based on ARM and other embedded platforms;
• Follow up the technical development of PVT and RAIM-related navigation algorithms, and conduct performance evaluation of algorithm prototypes;
• Responsible for test data analysis, problem debug and solving, performance improvement;
• Assist the baseband, software and hardware team to analyze the quality and problems of observations;
• Responsible for embedded software development about algorithms control;
• Write and review the algorithm design documents;
• Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources to improve algorithm performance;
• Support project planning efforts and ensure execution to schedule and budget.
• Participate in system architecture and requirement definition, market development and bid support;
• Participate as a key reviewer in technical reviews and provide technical guidance and mentoring to team;
• Work with the team to ensure product development in compliance with the company process, agreed requirements and delivery plan;
• Other tasks when assigned;

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronics, Communications, Surveying and Mapping, and Navigation or similar fields with at least 5-year experiences in navigation algorithm development;
• Experience in embedded systems development and design, such as RTOS, Linux, etc.;
• Familiar with GNSS positioning algorithm, satellite navigation message frame structure and synchronization algorithm, and understanding of system time and position maintenance, etc.
• Familiar with microcontroller software development;
• Solid programming and troubleshooting experience in C/C++;
• Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, interfaces and hardware subsystems;
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills;
• Good at teamwork and communication;
• With experience in navigation related projects or product development will be given priority;

Qualifications Desired:

• Experience in high-precision/anti-interference/multi-frequency GNSS receiver design is preferred;
• Familiar with MATLAB and Simulink;
• Master script languages like Python and Shell;
• Experience with being a founder / co-founder of successful technology start-up is highly valued;
• A strong professional network (investors, mentors, founders, technologists) needed to help drive the business creation toward success;
• Outstanding business communication skills (written/verbal);
