Brief Description:
- The Marketing Director, reporting to the President and CEO of AVIAGE SYSTEMS, will oversee market/industry intelligence, strategic business development and corresponding presentations with marketing, local policy and legislative insights so as to identify, communicate and capitalize on the most advantageous business opportunities for the company. The overall marketing team's responsibilities are segmented into product marketing, market analysis, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and communications.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct competitive and industry analysis and benchmarking, through routine gathering and reporting of competitive intelligence, Voice of Customer and customer needs.
- Research and analyze market conditions to identify key competitor and consumer trends; articulate market requirements and opportunities to identify opportunities for product innovation, product enhancements and propose go-to-market strategy
- Provide the intelligence and associated strategy to the business teams (PM, BLU) to assure unbiased and data driven alignment to seize the opportunities that will assure our future success.
- Understand the dynamics of targeted market, civil aviation and avionics industry, governmental plus merger and acquisition opportunities to define our path to future success and achieve our long-term vision.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to oversee and manage the AVIAGE Operation Rhythm (All hands meeting, SGC and etc.).
- Act as a key advisor to the company leadership in providing local policy & legislative insights to facilitate company’s market access and business growth in China.
- Leverage broad political and policy stakeholder networks and a keen knowledge about China's system of government and Aviation Industries to strengthen the company's ability to interact with government ministries and to expand company opportunities for business growth.
- Lead the team on the development and implementation of corporate communications strategy and standards as well as the crisis management.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college in Engineering, Marketing, Economics, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in product, engineering, marketing, commercial or related fields and knowledge in Aviation/ Avionics industry, both strategic and operations.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in an international company environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in an avionics/aviation related industry.
- Quantitative and business analysis skills
- Demonstrated excellent presentation and public speech skills in both Chinese and English
- Knowledge of marketing principles and practices.
- Knowledge of business and management principles and practices with experience operating in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to operate effectively in multi-cultural business environment.
- High energy level and professionalism.
- Willingness and ability for frequent travel
Qualifications Desired:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering degree is preferred.
- Ability to building effective relationships with the highest levels of customers, partners and industrial associations.
- Ability to develop strategy and work with others to achieve effective implementation; Experience with multi-year strategic planning.
- A lead-by-influence practitioner who is good at driving cross-functional project teams with great interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate business issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Proven industry track-record and recognition.
- Well-connected in industry players and ability to influence the trend.
