AVIAGE SYSTEMS has recently signed a 3-year avionics MRO service contract with Hainan Airlines, providing inspection, repair and overhaul service of Boeing 787 IMA (Integrated Modular Avionics) components. The deal represents the first collaboration between AVIAGE SYSTEMS and Hainan Airlines.

As a GE & AVIC Joint Venture, AVIAGE SYSTEMS provides integrated avionics solutions to COMAC C919, including IMA (Integrated Modular Avionics) and network. AVIAGE SYSTEMS Shanghai headquarters is a 36,000 m2 building equipped with integration and test labs, manufacturing plant and repair station. Last June, AVIAGE SYSTEMS received CCAR-145 certificate, and is the only certified China-based MRO shop for Boeing 787 IMA at present.

Instead of shipping the components to overseas repair stations, selecting AVIAGE SYSTEMS can help Hainan Airlines save a lot of time on shipping and customs clearance. Meanwhile, Hainan Airlines is a strong supporter of China's aviation MRO industry.

George Chang, President and CEO of AVIAGE SYSTEMS says, “This is a big breakthrough for AVIAGE SYSTEMS. We really appreciate the trust and support from Hainan Airlines. This is just a start, we look forward to building long-term relationship with more airlines in China and Asia Pacific.”
